2015 News

There was a release of kdb+ version 3.3.

Two books for programming in kdb+/q were published. In March 2015 Nick Psaris published “Q Tips: Fast, Scalable and Maintainable Kdb+,” a practical guide to learning the language through building a real life application which is available on Amazon[1]. In November 2015 Jeffry Borror published “Q for Mortals: Version 3, An introduction to Q Programming,” an essential guide for practical information about using q and the kdb+ database. It is also available on Amazon and Amazon UK[2].

In July 2015 Mark Sykes was appointed Global Market Strategist for Kx.

In December 2015 Kx announced that as of January 1, 2016 CEO Janet Lustgarten would become the chairman of the Kx Board and First Derivatives' CEO Brian Conlon would also become CEO of Kx. Mark Sykes was promoted to Chief Operating Officer.
